Roseola

Well, our little Carson woke up last Thursday with a high high fever. No other symptoms. No runny nose, no sore throat. . . nothing. SO being that I had the day off, I took him to the doctor to just have a once over and test for strep. Well, the doctor said he wasn't sure to keep an eye on him and see. The rapid test for strep came back negative and the ears looked good too.
So my mom watched him on Friday so I could work. He still was running a high fever and was not drinking or peeing. Then he was complaining that his "PARTS" hurt. So we were thinking that he was coming down with an uriniary tract infection. So my mom and dad tried to get him to pee in a jar. He wanted no part of that. By Sunday he was fever free. Sunday night. . .Carter started running a high fever. No other symptoms of course. So we call the doc again and he said that he still wanted to test Carson's urine to be sure and that he wanted us to check for a rash. They are seeing a lot of children with Roseola. I totally forgot about this virus. I remember Carlie having it. . .it must of not left an impression on me. So thankfully my mom watched little Carter both Monday and Wednesday. I am so thankful that I have my mom and dad to help me. And finally after the fevers broke. . .a little rash popped out. Carter definitely had it worse than Carson. I wonder if age has anything to do with it. I have a feeling this is going to be a hard winter. Especially with Carlie and Carson both in school. They are going to bring everything home to their little brother. Darn it!!
