Well, I finally have a few moments to post. As I am sure you all already know by now, but Carter Lewis has arrived. We went to the hospital a week ago Sunday night to be induced on Monday, May 5th. We arrived at the hosptial at 9 pm and when the nurse checked me I was already at a 3. She said that the plan for the night was to really hang out and they would start the Pitocin at around 3 am. They gave me a sleeping pill and I slept until 3. The nurse came in and started the Pitocin and then I got my epidural at 3:15. We hung out somemore and the nurse came in at 6 am and I was at a 5. At 6:30, Dr Z came in and broke my water and I was at a 6. He said that he had some stuff to go do and that he would be back at 8 and we would have this baby at 8:15. We waited somemore and everyone arrived just in time. At 7:45 the nurse came in to check and I was really starting to feel the contractions. I was at a 10 and ready to go. She called the Dr and gave me a booster shot in the epidural. Dr Z came in at 8:15 and after 6 pushes and 2 contractions there was our beautiful boy. At 8:20 am. Amazing!!!!! I was so happy that things went so well. It was the easiest delivery yet. Carter gave a little cry and that was about it. It was amazing. I am still in awe. Carlie and Carson came up later Monday night and met him for the first time. Carlie was a little sidetracked because there was so many people in the room so she was busy entertaining. But soon after, her and Carson were thrilled and just kept wanting to hold him. I have some really good pictures of them so I will download them soon. Also, I am going to attach a link that Aunt Stef took of the delivery. (there isn't any crotch shots, so don't worry) It is an awesome montage and I have to watch it everyday. I can't thank her enough for giving us that beautiful gift. The details that she took pictures of are so overlooked. I hope you all enjoy the montage as much as we all do.
