Broken, Broken, Broken. . .

Sorry for posting this so late. . .

Well, I don't think I can take anymore trips to the ER! Last Tuesday night, I was at the church picking Carlie and Nick up from Cathecism and guess what? They were all playing outside, (Arielle and Cade as well, ) and Carson ran behind Nick and tripped him. Nick was walking backwards. Needless to say Nick fell right on top of Carson. Carson broke his right collarbone!!!!! It was awful! He cried so hard and screamed in pain. Straight to the ER we went. All they could do was put him in a sling and send us home. After a very painful night he started throwing up the Tylenol with Codeine and he spent all of Wednesday either throwing up or crying or sleeping. He would not eat or drink. It was probably the hardest day I have ever had. Thursday was not much better either. Luckily on Thursday night he started to perk up. The doc says that he has to be in the sling for about another week or so and then he has to be very careful for the next 6-8 weeks. I have a feeling that Carson is going to be the one that is always getting hurt someway. I think that he needs to be in a bubble. You know it is bad when the ER nurse remembered him from when he got hit with the golf club. Bless his little heart! I will get a picture of his sling and post it. Stay tuned. . .

Never a dull moment in the Calabrese household!

Pumpkin Patch 2008

We went to Rock Creek Farms yesterday to pick out our pumpkins. We had so much fun. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a blast. We went with our good friends Mike, Michelle, and Jake. (Mikey and Bubba are on the fire-dept together.)

Searching for the perfect one.

Carson helping Daddy cut "his" pumpkin off the vine.

Posing on for a picture. If you look between Carlie and Carson you can barely see Carter in there.

Carter's first time at the pumpkin patch.

Aren't we cute?

Michelle trying to steal a pumpkin. . .just kidding. . .can you believe she is due any day now? She doesn't look like she is nine months. She is also having a little boy. They are naming him Lukas.

Mikey and Michelle. Jake wanted no part of the picture. hahahaha Can you tell him and Carson get along great!

Oh, wait! Now he will pose for a picture with Mom and Dad.

Here is Bubba and Mikey with the kiddos. Carson is not pictured. It was his turn to not want any part of it.

Here are the kiddos running through the hay maze.

5 Months

Little "Porkchop" is 5 months old already!! I know I keep saying that everytime I post his "birthday", but I cannot get over how fast he is growing. He is soooooo cute and sweet. It is funny how all the kids have a special place in my heart.

Carlie. . .the firstborn, is a little sunshine. She is sweet, outgoing, and my little girlfriend. She truly has a special kind heart.

Then there is Carson, the "middle-child", but also the oldest son. He is a little sweetie on his terms. He is my little helper. Whenever I need help and muscles he is the first to help me. He is shy, and not very accepting of change. He likes his bed and his home and his things. He can be very onery buth he has the cutest smile and funniest laugh to get him out of trouble.

Then there is Carter. The youngest son and the "Baby". He has the sweetest disposition and is the happiest baby. He is happy all the time and he loves to cuddle. He always has a smile for his big brother and big sister. We are very blessed!!

Here are pictures of Carter in his snuggle-swaddle bag. He sleeps so good like this. I am a little concerned though that he is not going to sleep very well after he outgrows this thing. Also, Bubba says I am going to make him claustrophobic. hahah

Doesn't he look cute!

Stef is toooooo funny. . .

Stefanie is sooooo funny. I just love her. She had her hair done and she was on the fence on what to do. Cut it. . .Not cut it? Color it? Not color it? I think that it looks awesome. When she first got it done, she called me in almost tears, because it was like jet black. So Denise and I went to State and we got some stuff to lighten it and re-color it. Needless to say, the stuff didn't lighten as much as we hoped, but it actually looks really good. I really like it. I know that she needs to still get used to it, but all of us think it looks great!

Here is the before picture. . .

And After!!!!!!

Kenny felt sorry for her. . .so when she came to work today he had a surprise for her!!!!!! Scroll down to see!!

HAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAA!!!!!

Here is Natalie and I with our aprons on from the chili cook-off!

Carlie had a 70's themed disco at her school on Friday night. It was a lot of fun. The kids had a great time playing games and dancing. Carson was a little angel. He loved being at the "BIG" School. It was cute.

Here is Carson, Carlie and Haley waiting outside for Aunt Stef and Colin. Carlie got this shirt from her Birthday and it was perfect for the disco.

Here is little Colin doing "Strong-man" while the kiddos were getting tatooed. He is do DARN Cute!

Here is Carlie busting a move. She was so funny to watch. She just loves to dance and her whole attitude is just amazing. She dances as if no one is watching and it is so sweet. Although I have to say. . .I am beginning to think that all the dance lessons have yet to pay off. hahahaha

Roseola

Well, our little Carson woke up last Thursday with a high high fever. No other symptoms. No runny nose, no sore throat. . . nothing. SO being that I had the day off, I took him to the doctor to just have a once over and test for strep. Well, the doctor said he wasn't sure to keep an eye on him and see. The rapid test for strep came back negative and the ears looked good too.
So my mom watched him on Friday so I could work. He still was running a high fever and was not drinking or peeing. Then he was complaining that his "PARTS" hurt. So we were thinking that he was coming down with an uriniary tract infection. So my mom and dad tried to get him to pee in a jar. He wanted no part of that. By Sunday he was fever free. Sunday night. . .Carter started running a high fever. No other symptoms of course. So we call the doc again and he said that he still wanted to test Carson's urine to be sure and that he wanted us to check for a rash. They are seeing a lot of children with Roseola. I totally forgot about this virus. I remember Carlie having it. . .it must of not left an impression on me. So thankfully my mom watched little Carter both Monday and Wednesday. I am so thankful that I have my mom and dad to help me. And finally after the fevers broke. . .a little rash popped out. Carter definitely had it worse than Carson. I wonder if age has anything to do with it. I have a feeling this is going to be a hard winter. Especially with Carlie and Carson both in school. They are going to bring everything home to their little brother. Darn it!!
